Netflix Announces Cast for Live-Action ‘Cowboy Bebop’
Netflix will be creating a live-action recreation of the fan-favorite space western anime, Cowboy Bebop.
Cowboy Bebop was a wildly popular anime that, surprisingly, only lasted for one season on TV. It told the story of a future reality in 2071 when the inhabitants of Earth have had to colonize the planets of the solar system and “Cowboys” otherwise known as bounty hunters, are hired by the police force to suppress the rising crime level. It’s cast of characters was colorful and spunky and the story was incredibly fun. The show made it onto several top anime lists and won many awards in the Anime Grand Prix. Who doesn’t love space cowboys?

With a cast led by John Cho as the lead, and with such a beloved property to draw from, Netflix has the formula for a hit on their hands. We can’t wait to see what they do with it!
