Hear Dove Cameron Talk About Her Latest Project

Instagram

After her debut on the Hollywood Bowl stage in 2017, Dove Cameron will be taking on the West End this summer.

Dove Cameron has been killing it off-Broadway in Clueless: The Musical as iconic powerhouse Cher Horowitz.  Now, however, Cameron will be taking on a much sweeter role as Clara in the West End’s production of The Light in the Piazza. This role will be a testament to the versatility of Cameron and it is one she is very excited to take on.

In an Instagram video, the actress discussed how much love she has for this musical alongside co-star Renee Fleming, who will be playing her mother in the upcoming production. Cameron opened by saying this is “the most romantic show of all time.”  She then went on to explain how she has loved this show since she was a child and how she has a tattoo on her finger that was inspired by the lyrics in the musical. You could say this was a perfect casting choice for the West End to make.

The Light in the Piazza tells the story of young Clara and her mother, Margaret, traveling to Florence for the summer. Once there, Clara meets and falls in love with a young man named Fabrizio. The two then must work through the struggles of their families to finally come together and get married.  It is a beautiful story about the lengths one will go to for love. This will surely be an amazing show. We are so excited to see Dove Cameron take on this role. If you’re going to be in London over the summer, make sure to grab a ticket.
