If you don’t know about the one and only BaddieWinkle, let tell you, you have been missing out!
BaddieWinkle which real name is Helen Ruth van Winkle explained how she came up with her Instagram’s account name: “I’m a bad b$%^; always a rebel. So we decided ‘bad-baddie’. And then my last name was van Winkle, so we put the Winkle on.”
With more than 3.8 million followers and a book called Baddiewinkle’s Guide to Life, she continues to be the most fashionable, badass and rebellious grandma you’ll ever know. Baddie featured by MAC Cosmetics showing off her unique personality and crazy style; ruled the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards when she wore a sparkly nude bodysuit. When most people wouldn’t dare, she rocked it!
However, Baddie wasn’t always famous. She lived a pretty normal life in her native Kentucky. “I had a little 60 acres farm. I took care of it by myself for 15 years; I did everything that you’re supposed to do: mowed, trimmed, had a little garden. I kept busy at all times.”
One day things turned around when her granddaughter saw Baddie wearing a pair of cut off shorts, a tie-dye t-shirt and a couple of pink socks. The photo became viral, and the rest is history!
