The actress is coming back to the CW with a new show.

Lucy Hale is best known for her role as Aria Montgomery in Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars. She, then, joined the CW as Stella Abbott in the network’s Life Sentence. Sadly, the funny and moving series was canceled after only one season. However, now the actress is returning to the network for the role of Katy Keene, an aspiring fashion designer, in Katy Keene, the Riverdale spin-off series. The show will be following “the lives of four young people following their dreams in New York City”. The show will be featuring Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Jonny Beauchamp as Ginger Lopez, Julia Chan as Pepper Smith, Camille Hyde as Alexandra Cabot, and Lucien Laviscount as Alexander Cabot.

This is amazing news as we already love Riverdale so a spin-off series sounds like a dream. Lucy responded to the news by saying “well I’m slightly freaking out! Thank you… for trusting me to be your KATY KEENE. my heart is bursting”.

We are eager to see the comic come to life through the series and the spectacular acting of Lucy Hale. We do not have a confirmed date as to when we can expect the series to air, but we are delighted nonetheless by the casting news.
