‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Is Returning to Netflix
Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Miss Nola Darling.

“She’s Gotta Have It” is a spin-off of the 1986 rom-com directed by Spike Lee. In the Netflix series, we get a modern spin to the everyday life of the artist, the lover, the woman, Nola Darling, played by the beautiful DeWanda Wise. The first season introduced us to Nola Darling and her suitors and also tackled a number of touchy topics including gentrification and sexual identity.
The last episode of “She’s Gotta Have It” left off with Nola identifying to herself and her suitors that she choses herself above all. However, there was a bit of cliff-hanger when an unexpected guest arrives at the brownstone. Hopefully, this season will send us a little deeper into Nola’s past and explore more options for her future. The season 2 premiere of “She’s Gotta Have It” comes to Netflix on May 24th, Ya-Dig? Sho-Nuff.
