Solange Returns to Give Us Life
After a social media hiatus, Solange finally returns…and she brought gifts.
The start of Solange’s return was on Monday, Feb. 25th when she revealed her third cover for i-D. Shortly after the release of her cover for i-D, Solange began releasing video clips teasing at a possible project being in the works. Several stills were released along with the clips and then it finally happened.

An announcement was made via Solange’s Instagram on March 1st that she would be releasing an album.
Fans went nuts at this news. Many even waited until the midnight release to stream the album titled “When I Get Home”. Her last album “A Seat at the Table” was a major hit so we knew what to expect. While “A Seat at the Table” was more politically centered, “When I Get Home” is definitely more of a soul searching project with 19 tracks. There are features from some of the music industry’s biggest names such as Gucci Mane and Playboi Carti. Along with the album came a visual as well. Solange released a film under the same name exclusively on Apple Music. The film was recorded in iconic venues in Solange’s home state of Texas. We can always count on her staying true to herself and her roots.
