Lizzo Did Her Own Cover of ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’

Lizzo put her own spin on the latest Miley Cyrus hit.

Lizzo is a rapper and R&B artist getting ready to release her first big label album. She has several local and independently successful releases before this, but this new LP is already getting major traction. We couldn’t be more excited to hear the whole thing.

Lizzo has been active in the hip hop scene since 2010 and has produced several of her own albums including Lizzobangers (2013) and Big Grrrl Small World (2015). She was also active with several R&B groups in Minneapolis and Houston. She has gone on several tours and even appeared as a guest judge on Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Her success is incredible and it just keeps coming.

Recently, Lizzo performed at BBC Radio 1, covering her own song “Juice,” with a fun and flirty performance, but also taking on the Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson late hit “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.” It was an incredible new take on the song, taking on a much more gospel feel and staying very personal to the performer. She even made the slight addition of saying “Nothing breaks like my heart” instead. Hearing her beautiful vocals and her diverse style just made the upcoming album all the more exciting.

The album, Cuz I Love You, will come out on April 19th, so be ready!
