‘A Star Is Born’ Nominated for Five Oscars

A Star Is Born has been nominated for five Oscars and it’s leading actors as well. 

A Star Is Born has been nominated for five Oscars. That’s right, five. The motion picture has been nominated for Best Motion Picture, Cinematography, Sound Mixing, and Music with “Shallow” gaining the recognition it deserves. What’s even better than the movie being nominated? Your favorite lead actors, Bradley Cooper, and Lady Gaga have also been nominated for Actor and Actress in a Leading Role, along with Sam Elliot for Best Supporting Role.

I didn’t get to say everything I wanted to say last night when we won, I was so overcome with emotion and of course wanted to share the mic with my co-writers. We are all so grateful Bradley loved “Shallow,” sang his heart out live, and truly the song would not be revered as it is without the brilliant film and moment Bradley created and the way he directed the moment and collaborated with us on how it would eventually be given to the world. A Star Is Born tells the story of rock star Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) and his growing relationship with struggling singer Ally (Lady Gaga). Impressed by her talent, he encourages her to perform her own songs despite her fears. Ally’s career skyrockets, as does her relationship with Jack, even though he struggles with alcoholism and his feelings about Ally success. You can check out the trailer below.
