Watch the First Trailer for Octavia Spencer’s Horror Film ‘Ma’
Octavia Spencer is back at it again with a new psychological horror film.
Ma follows a group of teens who are looking for a place to drink and party. They meet Ma (Octavia Spencer) at a liquor store and they ask her to buy some alcohol for them. However, that isn’t all Ma has in mind, and she asks them if they want to come party in her basement. “You guys wanna party like rockstars? Follow me,” she says. Of course the teens think this is a perfectly normal suggestion and they follow her back to her place, which soon becomes the best party spot in town. But of course things are never that simple and one girl becomes suspicious of Ma as she begins to show signs of being just a little obsessed with the kids. Watch the full trailer below.
The film is produced by Blumhouse, the company that also produced so many of our favorite horror films lately including, Get Out, Happy Death Day, and Sinister. Ma was directed and co-written by Tate Taylor who also wrote The Help, which Spencer also starred in.
