Disney Has Finally Released a ‘Frozen II’ Trailer!

Twitter

After waiting for nearly six years, we finally have confirmation of Frozen II.

The original Frozen was an all-around hit for Disney. It was beloved by both children and adults everywhere, and the loving sisters of the story, Elsa and Anna, even made appearances in Wreck-It-Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018 and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure in 2017. The characters are fan favorites at the parks, and you even have to get special tickets to meet them at Disneyland because the lines get so long. You can also see them in a live stage show at the parks, and now there is Frozen on Broadway. There isn’t a corner of the arts industry where you can’t find Frozen.

Rumors have been circulating about a sequel for years now. The cosplay community has been pushing especially hard to see new outfits for some of the most recreated characters at conventions and birthday parties alike. So the excitement when the trailer dropped on February 13th was unimaginable. We only got glimpses of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, but that was enough to spark new interest in the story we’ll be embarking on this time around. This trailer seems to take the film on a darker path. We see Elsa alone on a dark beach attempting to quell the sea with her magic, and it ends with Anna attacking the camera with a sword. It appears to be a much grimmer and expansive narrative than the first one and, with its original audience growing up, this is probably a smart choice.
