Chad Michael Murray Joins ‘Riverdale’ Cast

Chad Michael Murray returns to the CW.

The network announced on Friday, February 8th that the former One Tree Hill star will be making an appearance on Riverdale‘s third season as Edgar Evernever, the “enigmatic leader of a cult-like Farm”. His official character description reads: “As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?”

His organization, also known as “the Farm”, has entranced Betty’s sister, Polly, and mother, Alice, in the show’s third season. Edgar Evernever was often discussed but will make his first physical appearance in this season.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. Watch the trailer below.
