If you loved The Fosters, you’ll love Good Trouble

We all cried when Freeform’s The Fosters ended because it was such a great series. That’s why it was such a relief when the network announced that the spinoff Good Trouble, starring Cierra Ramirez and Maia Mitchell as Callie and Mariana Adams Foster, would be coming soon to our screens. After a lot of waiting, Freeform decided to bless our 2019 by releasing the first episode of the series a whole week early. Although, the network did limit the early release to Hulu, Xfinity, and Freeform.com.

The first episode is titled “DTLA” as it takes place in the center of the city of Los Angeles. It gives us access to Callie and Mariana’s start in a new city and the first days of their new jobs. The episode highlights major life struggles that the pair go through while adjusting to their new lives, from missing their moms, to trying to navigate the hierarchy at work. It is far too relatable, especially if you are familiar with Los Angeles. The show does not miss a beat when it comes to the heartwarming feels that The Fosters used to give us.

If the show is anywhere near as heartwarming and exhilarating as the first episode, it’s going to be a big hit. The show officially premieres Tuesday, January 8th on Freeform at 8/7c.
