Find out How ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ is More Than Just About Heartbreak

Miley Cyrus’ new single, created together with Mark Ronson, “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” is more than it seems.

Since the days when “Hannah Montana” rose her to fame, Miley Cyrus has been an exceptional star and always made headlines with her bold personality and loud fashion sense. In her “Carpool Karaoke” bit with The Late Late Show with James Corden in October 2017, Miley Cyrus opened up about realizing the scope of her social influence and wanting to use it in a more positive and impactful way, making her the huge activist she is today.

Well if you think her song is just about heartbreak, think again and take a look at her music video.

The “Malibu” singer makes a powerful statement about the current political climate and gun culture. The most obvious message for viewers of her song emphasizes her criticism against popular media coverage having a tendency to focus too much on irrelevant gossip, rather than important social issues. She even posted on Twitter, criticizing the Daily Mail, a British tabloid newspaper, for bringing attention to her bum in her video, rather than using their massive influence to focus on her messages instead.

Oh, the irony.

Yet, we’ve got to say, Miley’s new collaboration with Mark Ronson is beautiful, inspiring and so empowering. We can’t wait to see and hear more of what’s in store. This one was a big win for #TeamMiley.
