Disney recently released a teaser for the live action remake of The Lion King, and we can already tell that it’ll be amazing.

The Lion King originally debuted in 1994 as an animated film. The film still holds a special place in the heart of many 90s kids, so it only makes sense that Disney’s remake will spark nostalgia in us all.

Though the story line remains the same, there are many distinct changes between the animated film and the remake including that this film will be live action. We’re excited to see Simba’s story in this new style.

Another major change is the cast. The animated film featured Matthew Broderick as Simba, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Jeremy Irons as Scar, Moira Kelly as Nala, Nathan Lane as Timon, Ernie Sabella as Pumbaa, Rowan Atkinson as Zazu, Robert Guillaume as Rafiki, Whoopi Goldberg as Shenzi, Cheech Marin as Banzai, and Jim Cummings as Ed.

The remake instead features Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, James Earl Jones returns as Mufasa, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Oliver as Zazu, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, and Eric Andre as Azizi.
