Disney Releases ‘Artemis Fowl’ Trailer
Book-lovers were ecstatic to learn the popular series and childhood favorite, Artemis Fowl, is making its way to the big screen.
The science-fiction series, written by Eoin Colfer, follows the fantasy adventures of 12-year-old criminal mastermind, Artemis Fowl. Six years after the final installment of the 8-part book series, Disney announced a film adaptation is finally in the works.

The upcoming movie will star Ferdia Shaw as the lead role, alongside Josh Gad, Judi Dench, and Lara McDonnell. Colfer has been considering a film adaptation since the release of his first book in 2001, but finally signed with director Kenneth Branagh in 2015. The film is set to release August 9th, 2019.
