Viola Davis Signs First-Look Deal with Amazon

The Widows actress just signed a first-look deal with Amazon studios along with husband, Julius Tennon for JuVee Productions.

It is official, the How to Get Away with Murder actress’s Production Company, Juvee Studios, signed a new streaming deal with Amazon to create inclusive content.

Variety reports that the team wants to make “distinctive, high-quality content.”

In a statement, Amazon Studio’s head, Jennifer Salke, described the overall purpose of the deal and what we can expect.

“Amazon Studios is passionate about building a home for both new and established filmmakers of all backgrounds, who share the same vision in telling incredible and engaging human stories. Viola and Julius Tennon’s JuVee Productions brings distinctive, fresh voices and high-quality content to our customers in both theaters and on Prime Video.”

Viola Davis posted the announcement on her Instagram and expressed her announcement about what this big move means to her and husband, Julius Tennon in a combined statement.

“We’re beyond excited about our new relationship with @AmazonStudios. We share the same vision of creating a vast and rich array of narratives that are inclusive and reflective of our world.”
