The ‘Always Be My Baby’ has the last laugh as her ‘Glitter’ soundtrack tops the charts 17 years later.

There is a saying that says that great works are not performed by strength but by perseverance. Patience is certainly on Mariah Carey’s side.

The “We Belong Together” singer announced on Instagram that her Glitter soundtrack is taking over the iTunes Charts, 17 years after the film’s release.

The Lambs decided that Glitter deserved justice and Mariah supported the project on her Twitter.

Mariah thanked the wonderful fans for making it happen on Instagram. Hilariously Mariah acknowledged that Glitter deserves Justice. She shared a throwback picture from the classic.

“I have to dedicate today’s #tbt to Glitter, which is currently #1 on the iTunes albums chart, 17 years after its release and on the eve of my new album release! My fans are THE BEST!!”

It is also reported that it is currently charting in Italy, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

We have to say Mariah deserves her reparations as the critics were way too harsh with the 7% on Rotten Tomatoes. She definitely got the last laugh, it took 17 years but it was done. Kudos to the Lambs.

Mariah also announced that her 15th album, Caution, is also dropping on Friday.
