Mariah Carey to Join ‘The Voice’ as a Knockouts Advisor

iHeartRadio Music Festival 2018

On Monday, October 29th, Mariah Carey will be joining the Knockout Rounds portion of NBC’s reality singing competition, The Voice, as an advisor.

Carey will work with and assist the remaining thirty-two contestants competing on The Voice as a key advisor in the Knockout Rounds with their celebrity coaches Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

In the Knockout Rounds, contestants will face-off against their own teammates once again but they get to perform songs of their own choosing. The coaches of each team will then decide which of their artists will go on to perform in the Live Playoffs.

On Instagram, Carey wrote about joining The Voice as an advisor: “It’s a MOMENT. I’m advising for the @NBCTheVoice Knockouts starting Monday 8/7c”

Last week, Carey had announced that she would be releasing her latest studio album Caution on November 16. Carey later dropped “The Distance” as the third single from her upcoming album. The R&B singer had also announced the official tour dates for the “Caution World Tour,” which is set to kick off next year in February 2019.

Tickets for Carey’s “Caution World Tour” will go on sale to the public on Friday, October 26 atLiveNation.com.
