Hamilton alum and A Star is Born actor Anthony Ramos could potentially lead in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights film.

In the Heights, Miranda’s first Broadway musical, follows residents in a highly Latino populated neighborhood in Upper Manhattan called “Washington Heights.” The storyline follows a unique group of individuals who aspire to better their lives as gentrification begins, but a hot summer power blackout brings their personal lives more problems than they anticipated. Quiara Alegría Hudes, who also wrote the In the Heights book, is set to write the script on Broadway. Crazy Rich Asians‘ Jon M. Chu is going to direct, and Miranda, Anthony Bregman, Mara Jacobs, and Scott Sanders will produce.

Ramos continues to impress post-Hamilton, as he’s landed several major projects since then. His most recent work in Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born, as well as his upcoming film roles in Monsters and Men and Godzilla: King of Monsters. He’s also in the Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It, so he’s definitely been keeping busy.
