Laura Marano Releases New Single ‘Me’
Laura Marano drops her first single as an independent artist.
Laura Marano is best known for her portrayal of fictional character Ally Dawson on the Disney Channel show Austin and Ally, but no one knew she could sing until now.
The 22-year old released her new single, “Me,” last week. The track is her first release as an independent artist, with her own label Flip Phone Records.
The pop tune’s accompanying music video shows Marano having fun at a summer pool party with her friends. She tries on different looks in attempt to get the attention of her love interest, who stands behind the camera.
The release of “Me” shows Marano is beginning to break away from the Disney image and enter into more mature territory. Although she may no longer be Ally Dawson, the singer’s style still remains upbeat and positive. “Me” is definitely a song you need to add to your playlist.
