The news about Adam Driver, Seth Meyers, and Awkwafina’s respective nights of hosting Saturday Night Live was first announced through social media on September 27th, 2018.

Adam Driver will open up the premiere of the forty-fourth season of the hit live-comedy show on September 29th, 2018 at 11:30 P.M. Eastern Time / 10:30 P.M. Central Time.

Driver had previously hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2016 when he was promoting Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Driver performed a variety of sketches including one of the most popular sketches that night entitled “Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base,” a parody of the reality series Undercover Boss. Driver had returned to the role of Star Wars character Kylo Ren for this sketch, but this time Kylo Ren went undercover as Matt the radar technician in the Starkiller Base to overhear his employees’ thoughts about working under him.

Saturday Night Live had also posted a few segments of video ads featuring the cast of Saturday Night Live and Adam Driver to promote the upcoming season premiere.

Awkwafina will be next to host the show on October 6th with musical guest Travis Scott. Awkwafina is most well-known for her roles in Ocean’s 8 and Crazy Rich Asians playing the characters Constance and Goh Peik Lin respectively. This will be Awkwafina’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live.

Seth Meyers will then return to Saturday Night Live on October 13th as a first-time host with musical guest Paul Simon. Meyers, the current host of NBC’s late night talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers, was most notable for his work on Saturday Night Live, and more specifically, for hosting the weekly Saturday Night Live news parody sketch “Weekend Update.”

We can’t wait to see what these celebrities will bring to Saturday Night Live!
