Justin Timberlake and Shawn Mendes’ Surprise Performance at iHeartRadio Music Festival
Two heartthrobs are truly better than one. During the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 22nd, Justin Timberlake took the audience by surprise by bringing out Shawn Mendes for a special performance of “What Goes Around.”
Timberlake introduced his guest by saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m a big fan of this young man. He’s one of the coolest cats I’ve met. He’s very talented, and he’s about to bless you — please welcome Shawn Mendes to the stage.” With guitar in hand, Mendes walked out onto the stage and together they performed a stripped down version of the hit song “What Goes Around.”
Their performance received massive cheers from the crowd, and Mendes shared his appreciation on Instagram by posting, “Thank you @justintimberlake for being such an incredible guy.” After Mendes exited the stage, Timberlake finished off his set list with “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and Mendes later performed a full setlist of his most popular tunes.
