Producer and actor Jordan Peele will be the host and narrator of the new Twilight Zone, which will premiere on CBS All Access.

Peele’s next project will be on the science fiction classic, which premiered in 1959, and will have an in-depth look on modern life. “Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences,” said Jordan Peele who is also the Executive Producer on the show.

“I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone,” Peele said in a press release, speaking of Rod Serling, the former host of the show.

The original show gave social storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times. The show explored humanities desires and despairs in a way other shows couldn’t. Production of the show begins this fall and will premiere in 2019.
