‘SNL’ Premieres September 29th with Host Adam Driver

‘Saturday Night Live’ will have its 44th season premiere on September 29th. 

Adam Driver will return for a second time to host the premiere of SNL. Driver is best known for his appearance in the popular Star Wars franchise as the role of villain Kylo Ren.

The Emmy-nominated actor recently starred in Spike Lee’s critically acclaimed film BlacKkKlansman. Driver plays character Flip Zimmerman in the film alongside of John David Washington.

This is Driver’s first appearance on SNL since season 41.

According to reports from Vulture, Mikey Day, Melissa Villaseñor, and Alex Moffat have been upgraded to repertory players. Chris Redd and Heidi Gardner are set to return as featured players this season.


The famous comedy show was nominated for several Emmys for this past season, including Best Writing For a Variety Series and Best Variety Sketch Series. Tiffany Haddish took home an Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, for her appearance on the show.

 

SNL appears on September 29th at 11:30 ET on NBC.
