Netflix Releases ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Trailer
Forget everything you thought you knew about Sabrina the Teenage Witch from the 1996 ABC sitcom because this Sabrina is no laughing matter.
Netflix dropped its first teaser trailer for the upcoming series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina that’s guaranteed to make your skin crawl. The trailer opens with wax candles being lit with a match on a cake as a sultry voice begins to sing Happy Birthday in the background.

The trailer then flashes between the birthday cake being served to Sabrina Spellman, played by Kiernan Shipka, as she celebrates her sixteenth birthday, to various scenes of ominous figures, performed rituals, darkly lit corridors, buildings, and forests juxtaposed in between.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina revamps the Sabrina universe and twists it into a darker and ominous tale featuring themes of the occult, demons, and witchcraft. As Sabrina Spellman turns sixteen years old, she must navigate between her human half and witch half while battling malicious forces that intend to harm her loved ones and the world.
Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a television series adaptation of the 2014 comic book series with the same name. The show was meant to air on the CW to play in tandem with Riverdale since Sabrina is part of the Archie Comics universe, but the series was instead moved to Netflix. Sabrina has been ordered to run for two seasons with a total of twenty episodes.
The first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is scheduled to air with ten episodes on Netflix on October 26th, 2018.
