Both The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi get animated in this “Schoolhouse Rock” styled musical short, entitled “Voting Avenue,” to educate viewers about the importance of voting and registering to vote.

The animated short begins with Fallon and Shahidi greeting each other. Shahidi tells Fallon that she’s heading down to “Voting Avenue” and they stroll down the avenue together with a singing ballot.

Watch it below:

The singing ballot then leads Shahidi and Fallon down “Voting Avenue” and together they educate viewers about how accessible voting is to the United States citizens, how to register to vote, and how participating in the government goes beyond electing a candidate in the presidential election. They also explain that people could register to vote on vote.gov or by asking Siri.

Shahidi had also been an outspoken advocate for encouraging people to register to vote. She had launched an initiative called Eighteenx18 “which will be a platform to encourage [her] peers to vote for the very first time in our upcoming midterm elections.”

Fallon had also encouraged his followers on Twitter who had turned eighteen to vote on vote.gov after the video’s release.

“Voting Avenue” is set to premiere during The Tonight Show on September 17th, 2018 on NBC.
