John Legend To Coach On The Sixteenth Season Of ‘The Voice’

Following John Legend’s latest and first Emmy win almost a week ago for his producer work in Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert, NBC announced that Legend has signed on to appear as a coach in the sixteenth season of the reality singing competition The Voice.

Legend will take Jennifer Hudson’s place as a coach in the sixteenth season of The Voice. He will be joined by a panel of returning celebrity coaches which includes Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

Legend shared his excitement about joining The Voice on Instagram. Legend wrote in the caption: “I’m thrilled to join the coaches of @nbcthevoice. I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL”

You can catch John Legend on the sixteenth season of The Voice on NBC next spring in 2019. Until then you can watch the fifteenth season of The Voice, which is scheduled to premiere on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at 8 P.M. Eastern time.
