‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Favorite Joe Amabile Will Be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Grocery Store Joe is not just a grocery-store owner anymore. He’s a dancer.

Joe Amabile quickly became a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite after being sent home the first night of Becca Kufrin’s season of ABC’s The Bachelorette. With waves of social media attention begging to get Amabile back on-screen for another chance at love, the Chicago grocer was cast in season five of the franchise spin-off, Bachelor in Paradise.

Right off the bat, Amabile developed a connection with season 22 Bachelor contestant, Kendall Long. The two love-birds maintained a relationship for the duration of the season, and fans remained hopeful their spark would last for a lifetime. Unfortunately, during the heart-breaking season finale, the pair unexpectedly split, and parted ways with Paradise.

Luckily, on the live BIP reunion episode, the couple raised hopes of Bachelor Nation once again, revealing they had rekindled after the show’s ending, and were back in a relationship. The only obstacle the pair continued to face was distance: Long being a Los Angeles resident, and Amabile owning his grocery store in Chicago. Host Chris Harrison was not going to let this affect their romance.

In order to get the couple in the same city, Harrison pulled strings to ensure a spot for Amabile in the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. Despite admitting he does not know how to dance, the grocer agreed to appear on the show in order be in L.A. with his new lady.
