Blink-182 Cancels Tour As A Result Of Travis Barker’s Health
Blink-182 had made the announcement of their canceled tour on both Instagram and Twitter in the afternoon of September 7th, 2018.
Travis Barker (pictured on the left in the top photograph), the drummer of Blink 182, had previously announced in the summer that he was in treatment for blood clots in his arms. Barker expressed his disappointment in not being able to perform with both his bandmates — the singer of the band Mark Hoppus (center of the photograph) and guitarist Matt Skiba (right of the photograph).
“The past few months have just sucked as I have been sidelined just waiting for my doctors to clear me so I could get back on the road and perform with my band,” Barker shared in the announcement. “Unfortunately, the risks associated with drumming are still too great. I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible.”
The band had not only had to cancel their tour but they also had to cancel their appearances at both the Riot Fest in Chicago on September 14th and The Surf Ranch Pros, World Surf League (WSL) on September 8th. The bands Weezer, Run the Jewels, & Taking Back have taken Blink-182’s slot in Riot Fest.

Blink-182 had been previously scheduled to tour across North America with their special guests State Champs, American Authors, and Seaway beginning on September 12th, 2018. The autumn tour had been sold out in numerous cities before its cancelation.
