Normani and Khalid’s ‘Love Lies’ Hits Top 10 on Hot 100
Normani is having a great start to her solo career.
Khalid and Normani released “Love Lies” in February of this year. This marked Normani’s first solo act after separating from Fifth Harmony. Normani and Khalid announced the exciting news on her Instagram.
Normani posted the chart showing “Love Lies” at a staggering #9. In the caption, Normani expressed her excitement and gratitude. She opens up the caption by stating that she can’t contain herself. “I just woke up from the best nap ever and saw this. Thank you to everyone that supported this record. I love you @thegr8khalid you already know this. LOOK WHAT WE DIDDDDD. IM STILL SCREAMINGGGGF Thank you GOD!!!! aghhhhahhsdhheb j”
The “American Teen” singer also shared the news on his Instagram. In the caption, Khalid expressed his disbelief on how a song that is 28 weeks old made it to the top 10. “Top 10 after 28 weeks. Such a blessing, love you so much @normani this is so so so crazy.”
Earlier this year, Normani and Khalid performed the hit song at the Billboard Music Awards. Normani received multiple praises for the performance and we were left in awe for her power dance break.
