Lady Gaga Talks Addiction At Toronto Film Festival

A Star is Born

Lady Gaga got candid at a press conference about how we should treat addiction in Hollywood.

Actress, activist, and singer Lady Gaga sat down at a TIFF press conference to talk about her upcoming movie A Star is Born.

The cast including Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chapelle, Sam Elliot, and Bradley Cooper answered questions and shared details about their upcoming film. Gaga said, “I think fame is very unnatural,” and that there was a need to have more compassion and guide celebrities as they rise to fame.

Gaga plays Ally in the film, a woman who is struggling to make it into the entertainment business. Ally meets seasoned musician Jackson Maine, played by Bradley Cooper, and the two start a romantic relationship. Ally’s career begins to rise, as Jackson’s suffers. The film really takes a look at what’s happening to celebrities behind the curtain in a way. Cooper’s character struggles with alcohol in the film, while Gaga’s is depressed and struggles with self-confidence.
