Sivan had first talked about how he wanted to test out his new stardom by trying to score free Taylor Swift tickets without paying. He was able to get the tickets to a Taylor Swift concert after agreeing to make a guest appearance during the show.

“So I was, like, completely floored by this, freaked out,” Sivan recalled of the offer. “but I was like, ‘This is my way to get free tickets, I’m going to do it for sure.'”

Sivan later appeared with Swift at a concert in the Rose Bowl. He was overwhelmed at the sheer amount of people within the audience before he was able to calm himself down and perform.

Sivan later spoke about his upcoming film Boy Erased, a film adaptation of Garrard Conley’s 2016 memoir, Boy Erased: A Memor, and based on Conley’s experiences with gay conversion therapy. A preview of the film was later shown during the interview.

In the preview, Sivan’s character Gary was giving advice to the protagonist Jared Eamons, played by Lucas Hedges, while they’re in the gay conversion therapy program. Gary advised Jared to pretend that the gay conversion therapy techniques were working until he finished left the program.

Sivan had also performed two songs from his latest album, “Bloom”, on The Late Show. Sivan had first performed the song “Plum.”

The other song performed by Sivan was “Animal.” “Animal” was the fifth single released by Sivan to promote “Bloom”. Amongst the other singles released were “My My My!”, “The Good Side”, “Bloom”, and “Dance to This,” which featured Ariana Grande.

Boy Erased will be released in movie theaters on November 2nd, 2018. Sivan’s album Bloom is also available to purchase and stream online through various platforms now.
