Ariana Grande Debuts New Songs From ‘Sweetener’ On The Tonight Show

Ariana Grande stopped by Fallon to share a few songs from her new album Sweetener. 

On The Tonight Show,  Grande discussed all things sweet, giving us a few snippets of her songs and leaving us wanting more. She also shared some of her thoughts on the passing of Aretha Franklin, and stories about fiancee Pete Davidson.

The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer joined The Roots to pay an emotional tribute to Franklin, performing a song called “Natural Woman.”

Ariana Grande joins The Roots to pay tribute to Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin with an emotional rendition of “Natural Woman” for the Tonight Show audience.

Grande and Franklin met in 2014 during a White House Visit. “It was an honor to have met her and we are going to celebrate her,” she said. The beautiful tribute nearly left the singer in tears. Grande even joined many other celebrities on social media in mourning for the loss of Aretha Franklin, sharing a photo of the pair and a clip of a song.

The singer then opened up about meeting fiancee Pete Davidson, and her song with the same name. When asked when she wrote the song, Grande replied, “like a week after we started hanging out.” The two met 3 years ago on SNL, and just recently got engaged.

Grande also shared her favorite song on the album, “R.E.M.” Here is a snippet of the song, that she pinned on Twitter.
