Karan Brar Lands New Awesomeness Comedy Film

Karan Brar is no stranger to comedy, but his newest acting gig may be his funniest yet.

As Disney Channel stars transition in their careers, the resulting post-Disney eras can look vastly different from one actor to the next.

For most, like Zendaya, Selena Gomez, and Shia LeBeouf, they undertook diverse acting roles to show they are more than the Disney characters they played, and it looks Karan Brar is doing the same.

While we won’t be seeing Brar as a Camp Kikiwaka counselor for much longer, his acting career is far from over because he just joined the cast of Awesomeness Film’s The F*ck It List.

Having played Chirag Gupta in three of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, The Jessie alum is not new to the big screen. Most recently, Brar played Suresh Khuran in Pacific Rim Uprising.

According to Deadline, the cast accompanying Brar includes Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists’ Eli Brown, Black-ish’s Marcus Scribner, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’s Madison Iseman, to name a few.

No word yet on the role Brar will play, but the comedy film is set to follow Brown’s character, Brett Blackmore.

Blackmore is a high school senior who launches the F*ck-It List after a failed senior prank causes him to lose acceptance to seven Ivy-League colleges. The list of things Brett wishes he had done in high school goes viral, skyrocketing him to fame and prompting him to make a future of his own.
