Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley are Engaged
Congratulations to Chance and Kirsten on their Fourth of July engagement.
Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, commonly known as Chance the Rapper, is engaged to longtime girlfriend and mother of his child, Kirsten Corley.
The engaged couple began dating in 2013, separating briefly in 2016 when there was a dispute over the caretaking of their daughter. Corley filed court documents in May 2016 but withdrew the filing in January 2017 with their reunition.
Chance thanked his girlfriend and daughter during his acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards in the following month of February 2017.
In addition to honoring the Fourth of July this year, they had their engagement to celebrate. He wrote on Twitter on Wednesday evening confirming the good news, after a video surfaced of an outdoor surprise proposal.

In the video, the rapper got down on his knee and asked, “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” The two share a daughter named Kensli, who ran up to the pair after the proposal.
Chance’s brother Taylor Bennett shared a photo of the newly engaged couple, with a sweet caption.
