Chadwick Boseman is best known for his role of T’Challa in the world’s ninth-highest-grossing film Black Panther.

In the Marvel movie, Chadwick Boseman plays the hero called Black Panther.

At the MTV Movie & TV award show, Chadwick received the award for the best hero for his role in Black Panther. The second he stepped on the stage he knew what he was going to do. During his acceptance speech, he called out a real-life hero, James Shaw Jr.

If you don’t know who James Shaw Jr., he is the man who was at a Waffle House at 3:25 am in the Nashville neighborhood of Antioch when a man came in the Waffle House shooting.

Shaw wrestled an assault-style rifle away from the gunman. He said that the gunman would have had to work extra hard to kill him.

Boseman told James Shaw that the award would live at his house as he handed Shaw the golden popcorn MTV award. Chadwick decided to give this award to James Shaw because even though he is honored to be acknowledged for his role in Black Panther, he thinks it is more important to recognize the heroes we have in real life.
