Harnaam Kaur Is the Bearded Lady You Should Know About
Harnaam Kaur is an example of a positive role model, encouraging beauty from within.
Harnaam Kaur is known as the “bearded lady”. She has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which is a health problem caused by hormonal imbalance. For Kaur, that means the growth of excessive facial hair.
Kaur says, “I am a British born female living in Slough. I am a little different from other women. PCOS….is also the reason to why I have a beard.” When she was 11 years old she began growing a beard. Not only was it a health problem she was dealing with, she was getting bullied at school.
Harnaam Kaur is now an anti-bullying activist, and loves and embraces the way she looks. She models and was recently photographed in a bridal photo shoot with Urban Bridesmaid Photography. Kaur is a role model for many, as she has overcome depression and self-loathing, and turned it into self-empowerment.
