FRANKIE and Scott Hoying’s new song answers why you were left on read.

Most of us can relate to having been in a situation-ship that ended in ghost-mode.

Despite being one of the least socially acceptable ways to end a relationship, ghosting is often the easiest and least-awkward thing to do.

Being ghosted can suck because you usually don’t know what went wrong, but ghosting can be freeing in the sense that you won’t have to explain why.

In the Grease-inspired video for FRANKIE and Scott Hoying’s new song “Ghost,” they act this out by portraying the ghoster and the ghosted with a 1950s flair.

In their version of Grease’s iconic “Summer Nights” scene, preppy, pastel-clad Hoying thought the couple went together “Like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong,” but greaser-chic Frankie didn’t know how to tell him that she had already found someone new.

In the back and forth verses, Hoying asks “Did I do something wrong… Why didn’t you call me… Why didn’t you want me?” To which Frankie replies, “I barely know you… It’s what we all do.”

The lyrics to the catchy song are sadly true, but the upbeat video is something we can all look forward to.

“Ghost” featuring One Night is now available on iTunes.
