‘Wonder Woman 2’ Has Some Exciting Surprises

(Wonder Woman 2)

A lot of news has just been shared for the Wonder Woman sequel, including a title and a character we thought was long gone.

The sequel will be called Wonder Woman 1984 and if you didn’t guess it before, the next chapter will take place in the 80’s. But, honestly, that is not what should blow your mind. The other big news is that Steve Trevor is back for the sequel.

In case you missed it in the first Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) died saving Wonder Woman and the rest of their team. So, it was a shock when Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman director, posted a photo on Twitter saying, “Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor! #WW84.”

Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) also shared a photo of her character standing in front of a wall of TVs showing very ’80s images.

Jenkins also confirmed that Kristen Wiig will play the villain Cheetah in the sequel. All this news will hopefully gear to another success for the DC films, as Wonder Woman received very positive feedback back in 2017. But, how could it not? It is Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit theaters November 1, 2019.
