Nike Collaborates with Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones
In celebration of the World Cup, Nike has decided to take one of fashion’s most praised designers, Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones.
The designers have teamed up in order to create a new line to re-interpret soccer has they know it.
If you are going to play soccer, Abloh will make sure it looks sexy. Abloom has designed some of his pieces with his famous “Off-White” label, Honest-To-God soccer gear uniforms. The uniforms will include gloves, shorts, jackets, and very bright orange sneakers. Kim Jones has taken a more safe route by reimagining soccer staples inspired by the London Punk scene.
As we recall Abloh had left the Off-White to start at Louis Vuitton and Dior Home. Interesting enough, Kim Jones, is starting at Louis Vuitton as well. Luckily no one but Nike can snag up two of fashions most desirable designers in the midst of creating for another respectable line.
The line was inspired not only by Abloh’s time play on soccer but also “Playing hip-hop tracks the way to soccer.”
Nike’s collection with Kim Jones will release on June 7th and Virgil Abloh’s collection will release on June 14th.
