Owl City released their latest album, Cinematic, on June 1.

Owl City is most well known for its songs “Fireflies”, “Good Time” ft. Carly Rae Jepsen, and “Vanilla Twilight”. Singer, songwriter, and musician Adam Young started his project, Owl City, in his parent’s basement and achieved success by gaining recognition on the internet. Young’s popularity grew and he was eventually noticed by record companies as he is currently signed with Republic Records. So far, the musician has released six studio albums, including his newest Cinematic.

Owl City will begin its short tour for Cinematic later on in the year. It will start on Thursday, September 13th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will come to an end all the way in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday, November 11th.

It’s hard to describe the genre of Owl City because it is a combination of so many different kinds of music from pop, to indie, to electronic. If one had to pick a single word to best describe all of Owl City’s music, it would be dreamy. Listening to his music can easily make you feel like you were sent into a dream world. Cinematic continues Owl City’s traditional dreamy trend.
