‪Drake Responds to Blackface Image Describing his 2007 Project on Racism + Clothing Designer of Jim Crow Tee Speaks Out‬

ShutterstockDrake wasted no time responding to a blackface image that Pusha T posted on his Instagram and set as a physical, digital cover to a Drake diss track in which he bodied the Canadian artist.

Turns out it allegedly was an image from a project on racism from 2007 that Drake took part in.

Drake stated on Instagram:

The founder of Too Black Guys, designer of the Jim Crow Tee that Drake wore in the photo, posted this statement, defending Drake for his attempts to draw attention to racism in the acting world.

So for those keeping score at home:

Kanye paid 85k to use Whitney Houston’s drug ridden bathroom photo as Pusha T’s album cover, an album he produced.

Pusha T dropped a fire album with hot beats.

Pusha T dissed Drake on a track stating he needs a ghostwriter.

Drake came for Pusha T reminding him that he wrote for Kanye’s Pablo Album. He’s talking about Pusha’s boss, Kanye.

Pusha T comes back in a harmonious track with excerpts of Nina Simone, dragging Drake’s alleged baby momma, his alleged son, his Jewish mom, his multi race background, his “zoot suit” wearing dad, called him confused and made fun of the physical health of Drake’s producer among other things. He also posted the blackface photo which Instagram removed because he may have not had the rights to use the photo.

Drake countered the black face controversy with his statement today and despite some still not being on Team Drake he seems to have satisfied some of his fans. We will wait and see if Drake responds to Pusha T.
