The Boston Calling Film Festival with Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman is the curator of “The Boston Calling Film Festival”, which started on Tuesday and will be continuing over the weekend until Sunday, May 27th.

Natalie Portman, born in Israel on June 9th, 1981, is a renound actress and a graduate of Harvard University. Portman is incredibly bright and plays an active role in fighting for gender equality. She is always advocating for events and organizations supporting the progression of women’s rights, equal opportunities, and equal pay for women. The actress initially created her only social media account on Instagram on the first day of 2018 in order to promote the “Me Too” movement.

From May 22nd to May 24th, “The Female Gaze” Film Festival is taking place at the Brattle Theatre in Boston, Massachusettes. Films to be featured tonight are I am Not a Witch at 7:30 pm, and later The Exorcist at 9:30 pm. The festival continues from May 25th- May 27th with discussions and performances incorporating various kinds of art, from film, to music, to poetry with stars such as St. Vincent and Tony Hinchcliffe.  You can find tickets at bostoncalling.frontgatetickets.com.
