Adam Rippon is a winner, baby.

When Adam Rippon didn’t make it to the 2014 Winter Olympics, he and his figure skating teammate, Mirai Nagasu consoled each other as they ate In-N-Out burgers on Nagasu’s roof.

Reflecting on this moment during his Hot Ones interview, Rippon said, “those In-N-Out meats, those are magic meats. So basically, if you’re depressed, eat a burger, and four years later you’ll go to the Olympics.”

There must be something to those magic meats because both of the American figure skaters made lasting impressions at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Rippon, who took home an Olympic bronze medal and won the hearts of many, can now add the Dancing with the Stars: Athletes Special Mirrorball trophy to his collection.

During the four-week special, Rippon and his dance partner Jenna Johnson competed against nine other teams, including Mirai Nagasu and her partner, Alan Bersten.

Rippon and Nagasu lead the competition with the two highest scores of the season, but the latter was eliminated before the finale.

In a dance battle against Tonya Harding and Josh Norman, Rippon came out victorious.

Congratulations to Rippon and Johnson on their Mirrorball win.
