Sabrina Carpenter Creates Donation Page for her Birthday

(Instagram)

For Sabrina Carpenter’s 19th birthday, she’s asking fans to donate to her “Support Malala’s fight for girls’ education” campaign.

The Girl Meets World alum took to Instagram to shed light on the importance of girls receiving education, and how fans can help the 130 million girls who are unable to go to school.

The Malala Fund was created by Malala Yousafzai, an education activist, and her father Ziauddin Yousafzai after Malala survived an assassination for speaking out for girls’ education.

Malala is the youngest Nobel Laureate, and her fund works to advocate and invest in girl’s education and amplify the stories of those denied it.

Carpenter, who attributes education for her success, surpassed her goal of $5000, earning the “Why” singer the spot of “the most donors” for the overall campaign.

The donation page is still open, so if you would like to contribute, visit Carpenter’s Instagram for the link in her bio.
