While it was released several weeks ago that actress Claire Foy did not get as high of a salary in the television show The Crown, updates have shown that she will be receiving approximately $275,000 in back pay following this salary controversy.

The controversy dates back to April when news was released of her earnings on the show being less than her co-star Matt Smith. At a conference, the producers of The Crown stated that Matt Smith was paid more due to his status as an actor, coming from the beloved Doctor Who.

There was an apology directed at the show stars, for bringing them into a media controversy. In addition to this apology from the production company behind the Netflix series, it has been brought to attention again with good news. Foy will be receiving a back pay of roughly 275,000 USD for the compensation of twenty episodes for the two seasons she acted in.

This is positive news, fully supported by Matt Smith. Though both actors will not be continuing to play their roles in future seasons, it is safe to say that a controversy has been settled in a fair and mature manner.
