The series may have ended but it will not be soon forgotten.

It was just back in 2012 when Kerry Washington first gave us life as D.C.’s most powerful woman, Olivia Pope.

Since then, fans have seen the world through the eyes of creator Shonda Rhimes. Week after week she’s showed all the things life throws at you and how to handle it like a gladiator.

Scandal not only taught us to be strong independent women but it also taught us to have each other’s backs. Washington posted a photo to her Instagram as an ode to the women of scandal.

The legacy of Scandal lives on in all of us women who watched this sisterhood come together and to completion.
