Normani Signs a Solo Deal with Keep Cool/RCA Records

(RCA Records)

The former Fifth Harmony member is officially going solo.

Keep Cool/RCA Records officially announced that Normani will be joining their label. The singer-songwriter is the first artist to sign to Keep Cool/RCA Records but is the second member of Fifth Harmony to sign on her own, after Camila Cabello.

Normani, who is currently in the studio working on her debut album, released her first solo track alongside Grammy-nominated Khalid, “Love Lies.” RCA stated, “Sonically and stylistically the song speaks to the direction of Normani’s personal style of making music.”

The song off of the Love, Simon soundtrack debuted at #43 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has received over 155 million streams worldwide since its Valentine’s Day release.

According to RCA Records, Normani shared, I’m so incredibly grateful to be able to be in a place where I can explore myself as an artist and what I’m capable of. Never in a million years did I think I would be in this position in 2018. Everyone has been so supportive and patient, thank you so much to my fans for giving me the opportunity. I’m so thankful to my girls that we created this space among ourselves to explore and branch out creatively.  Fifth Harmony has always been and will always be home. I’d like to say thank you to Tunji and Peter for believing in the vision that I have for myself as an artist. I’m appreciative for their commitment and perseverance.”
