We’re Obsessed with Trevor Jackson’s New Album

Trevor Jackson’s new album Rough Drafts Pt.1 is a piece of art.

The meaning behind the album is that everyone wants the finished product, but people tend to forget that you need some rough drafts to get there. We have to say that we love it.

It’s a mix of upbeat songs like “Broken Hearted” with some slower songs that you can jam out to like “Night Time.” His album was long awaited since his mixtape in 2015, In My Feelings. This album is a bit more mature, and we get to hear his talented guitar skills in a lot of the songs.

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! #roughdraftspt1 available everywhere. This project brought me out of a very dark place. I was able to dig myself out of a hole and this music was the ladder. We also get a glimpse into his struggle to break people’s perceptions of him as being just an actor or just a singer. From the first track entitled “Cover Page,” the voices in his head telling him to stick to one category are overcome by his determination and then the album begins.
