Interview: LIVVIA on Her Single, Featuring Quavo, “Catch a Body”

(Tiziano Lugli)

Singer and songwriter, LIVVIA, describes her sound as pop with urban influences.

In listening to her latest single with Quavo, we agree with that assessment. Did you know she also plays guitar and piano? Her first big break was signing with CAA, but we expect to see a ton more from this talented singer really soon.

GLITTER: How would you describe your sound?

LIVVIA: Primarily pop with urban influences.

GLITTER: What does being an artist mean to you?

LIVVIA: Being fearless and breaking rules.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about your single featuring Quavo, “Catch a Body?”

LIVVIA: I was in the studio with Rock Mafia starting a new track and the phrase ‘catch a body’ happened to come up in one of the improv vocal takes, so we built on that idea and used phrases like “if looks could kill” and “you look so good it’s killing me” to play on the meaning of ‘Catch a Body’ and tell a story about uncontrollable and sometimes destructive attraction.

GLITTER: Did any event inspire you to write that song?

LIVVIA: Not one event in particular. This song was more of a conceptual story for me.
